Cosmetic dentistry is a term used to describe a variety of different dental procedures that you can elect to have performed in order to improve one or two teeth, even your entire smile.
Not every dentist is a cosmetic dentist. Cosmetic dentistry focuses on both the appearance and function of your teeth. Cosmetic dentists, like Dr. Medford, have been through additional training and have furthered their knowledge of dentistry beyond dental school at exclusive cosmetic dental institutions.

- Crowns and Bridges -porcelain crowns can be used to restore the look and function of teeth that have been damaged and cannot be corrected with white fillings.
- Tooth Colored Fillings -beautiful alternatives to the dark, metal fillings of the past, white fillings restore both the look and function of decayed teeth.
- Botox- The most common benefit of Dentox (Botox® for Dentistry) is the reduction in the number of clenching events and their intensity. This will reduce the destruction of your teeth, gums and jaw joint, and reduce the discomfort and pain in your face and chewing muscles. A beneficial side-effect is the smoothing of lines between the brows and in the forehead Because the muscles are unable to contract, Botox® may actually prevent new wrinkles from forming. Other benefits are that only the injected areas are effected and results are often seen within 24 - 48 hours. Another possible benefit is that the botulinum toxin does not stay in the body indefinitely, so if there is an adverse effect, or a mistake made, it is only temporary. There is also the likely possibility that with frequent treatments, the injected muscles will atrophy allowing the patient to go longer and longer between treatments.Dr. Medford will start performing Botox on patients this May!
